The successful candidate: Hours: 36 hours per week (No weekends)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable role
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Completion of one of the following: An approved Medical Assistant training program, OR An unapproved training program plus successful certification through AAMA, AMT, or another recognized national certifying body, OR A U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program
  • Completion of a relevant clinical program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or equivalent certification required
  • Phlebotomy
  • EKG
  • Glucometer testing
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) and clinical systems utilization
  • Transcription

Nice To Haves

  • At least 3 years of Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or clinic setting
  • Relevant specialty experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assists clinicians in providing patient care using the full scope of their training
  • Performs both clinical and administrative functions to support patient care delivery
  • Facilitates smooth patient flow throughout the clinic
  • Conducts triage phone calls and coordinates communication between patients, caregivers, providers, and care teams
  • Provides clerical and administrative support, including documentation coordination and supply ordering
  • Ensures all responsibilities are performed in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
