About The Position

Sentara Endocrinology Kempsville is hiring a Medical Assistant! This is a full-time, day shift position located in Norfolk, VA. The Medical Assistant will perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Qualified candidates can receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic certification/licensure
BLS required within 90 days of hire
1 year of clinical or administrative experience

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Phlebotomy experience

Responsibilities
