About The Position
This position is for a Certified Medical Assistant at the Fort Yuma Health Care Center in Winterhaven, CA, an Indian Health Service (IHS) facility. The facility serves the Quechan Tribe and surrounding Native American communities. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- National CMA certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT)
- BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- IHS or rural healthcare experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, obtain vital signs, and prepare patients for examination
- Assist providers with procedures and examinations
- Administer medications and immunizations as directed
- Collect and process laboratory specimens
- Document in electronic health record (EHR)
