Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities Assists Occupational Health and Wellness team members in coordinating and participating in visits with staff members to include, but not limited to, follow up visits related to outstanding requirements, fitness evaluations, outside medical center evaluations and health consultations Coordination of new hire physical exams to ensure that onboarding requirements are fulfilled. Preparation and maintenance of the employee health record. Schedule tests and procedures (including radiology) utilizing the hospital and clinic computer systems; review results. Administer injections as instructed by nurse as a part of Occupational Health screenings and evaluations Participate in specimen collection as a part of Occupational Health screenings and evaluations Interview staff members, measure vital signs as needed Document care provided per established guidelines Prepare and disinfect exam room for each staff member’s visit Ensure adequate supplies and appropriate instruments are available, inventory and order medical supplies. Ensure equipment is cleaned and maintained per department protocol

Requirements

  • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and proof of current membership from American Medical Technologist (AMT)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and proof of current membership from American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and proof of current membership from National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
  • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) and proof of current membership from National Certified Competency testing (NCCT)
  • Languages required – English
  • Work experience – 2 years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant in an Occupational/Employee Health or Wellness setting required.
