About The Position
Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant. This is a patient satisfaction-oriented, small, fast-paced clinic specializing in Sports Medicine. The role involves delivering care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process, conducting patient check-out, surgery scheduling, and post-operative calls as a primary function. Communication with patients regarding test results and plan of care, ensuring patient safety and privacy, and potentially assisting in the front office are also key aspects of the role. Additional duties may be assigned by practice management or healthcare providers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
- CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (PREFERRED)
- ACLS or BCLS upon hire (PREFERRED)
- Willing to consider a New CMA that has completed an Externship
Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
- Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
- Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
- Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
- May work in the front office as needed
- May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
