About The Position

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is a premier physician owned and managed primary care practice with locations in Cape Coral, Estero, Fort Myers, and Lehigh Acres. We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Adult Medicine division in Fort Myers. Schedule is Monday through Friday, Day Shift.

Requirements

A certification/registration from an accredited program for medical assistants (CCMA, CMA, RMA, or ABR-OE) or a minimum of two years working as a medical assistant and the ability to get certified/credentialed within six months of employment
Great attention to detail and the ability to record information accurately
Ability to develop and maintain a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with providers, staff, and patients
Knowledge of phlebotomy, patient intake, and common medications
One year of medical assisting experience or a combination of medical education and work experience
CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
Regular and reliable attendance is required

Responsibilities

Prepare exam and treatment rooms for patient and physician use
Perform patient intake; vital signs, medical history, and medication review
Assist physicians in the exam room during physicals and procedures
Record patient charts in the management system in a timely and accurate manner
Maintain the strictest confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and regulations
