About The Position
Vera Whole Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support our primary care clinic. You’ll work closely with providers, assist with clinical procedures, manage patient flow, and help deliver excellent patient care.
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C)
- Graduate of an accredited MA program
- Minimum 2 years of experience (primary/urgent care preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification within 90 days (if required)
- Strong phlebotomy, injection, and EKG skills
- EMR documentation experience
- CPR/BLS certification and negative TB test within 90 days
- Reliable attendance, strong communication, and ability to multitask

Responsibilities
- Take vital signs, perform point-of-care testing, and assist with diagnostic procedures
- Administer immunizations, injections, and oral medications
- Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and process lab specimens
- Support patient education and care-management needs
- Set up exam/procedure rooms using sterile technique
- Assist with front-office tasks (phones, scheduling, registration)
- Maintain inventory and restock supplies
- Document accurately in the EMR and follow HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA standards
- Participate in team huddles, training, and quality-improvement activities
- Provide excellent customer service and teamwork
