About The Position

This position is an integral part of the medical and nursing teams, ensuring client flow and providing quality client care in a safe and timely manner.

Requirements

  • Must have Washington State Medical Assistant Certification.
  • Must be able to pass WA State Patrol background check. National background check may be required if lived outside of WA in last 3 years.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one-year experience as an MA Assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administer permitted medications under a valid order and the delegation and supervision of an authorized healthcare practitioner.
  • Observe clients for and promptly report medication reactions, side effects, or other concerns to the supervising practitioner.
  • Coordinate follow-up on referrals and support continuity of care.
  • Obtain and document medical histories, medication information, and vital signs as directed.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of services provided and relevant clinical or behavioral observations.
  • Coordinate laboratory orders and communicate results to medical providers in accordance with established procedures.
  • Assist with insurance verification and prior authorization processes.
  • Coordinate services with community medical providers and other members of the integrated care team.
  • Communicate with the supervisor regarding client contact and direct service hours and work toward established productivity expectations.
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards, appropriate boundaries, and client confidentiality.
  • Maintain clinical records and prepare reports in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable requirements.
  • Maintain required credentials and participate in training and professional development relevant to the position.
  • Perform other duties within the MA-C scope of practice as assigned, delegated, and supervised.
