About The Position

Sentara Medical Group Foot and Ankle Specialist Leigh Clinic is seeking to hire a Medical Assistant. This role offers the opportunity for advancement within the group by pursuing Rad Tech-Limited licensure. The Foot & Ankle clinic has a unique MA/RT-Limited position and job title which comes with a pay increase upon obtaining licensure. The Medical Assistant will perform patient care and administrative/clerical tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, as delegated by and under the supervision of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic
BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
1 year of clinical or administrative experience
