About The Position

West Coast Wound and Skin Care is hiring a field Medical Assistant who must be willing to drive within the Tampa area. The Field MA administers misting therapy to patients in their homes five days a week and handles materials management, scribing, chart checks, and coordination of skin sweeps one day per week. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and pays $22 per hour. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered after the first three months of employment.

Requirements

• Valid MA certification.
• Excellent customer service, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong awareness of medical terminology.
• Strong desire for patient care.
• Willingness to drive within the Tampa area.

Nice To Haves

• 1–2 years of clinical management or medical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform misting therapy on wound patients.
• Order medical supplies.
• Scribe for respective doctors.
• Prepare patients for procedures.
• Perform chart checks to evaluate stalled wounds for existing patients.
• Coordinate skin sweep scheduling.
• Scribe for skin sweeps.
• Make initial assessment calls.
