About The Position

Under supervision of Center Manager, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will work independently to perform office responsibilities related to patient reception, registration, and checkout. Under the supervision of a physician/nurse practitioner or physician assistant, the CMA will provide quality nursing care for assigned patients. This role requires a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills, contributing to the organization's mission, philosophy, and effective operations through dependable job performance. The CMA will exhibit the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).

Requirements

  • Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently.
  • Must be able to work in a well-lighted, ventilated, and air-conditioned area.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to unpleasant odors, sights, and sounds.
  • Must be able to spend long periods in a stationary position and move around the unit.
  • Must be able to manage risks of exposure to disease, infection, physical strain, and assault.
  • Must be able to manage risks of exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, radiation, and antineoplastic agents.
  • Must have contact with patients, family members, physicians, Associates, other healthcare providers, community resource personnel, administrative staff, and Organizational support services.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year CMA experience in a clinical setting.
  • Previous work history will be considered.
