As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will serve as a key member of the outpatient care team, helping patients navigate their visits while supporting providers in delivering efficient, coordinated, and compassionate care. You will interact with patients of varying ages and backgrounds, contribute to clinic flow, and ensure a positive experience from arrival through follow-up care. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • None required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
  • Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as the AAMA (American Association of Medical Assistants), the AMT (American Medical Technologists), NAHP (The National Association of Healthcare Professions), the ARMA (American Registry of Medical Assistants), or the NHA (National Healthcare Association).

Responsibilities

  • Preparing patients for visits, obtaining clinical information, and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Supporting providers with examinations, treatments, procedures, and patient care coordination.
  • Managing patient communications and assisting with appointment workflows.
  • Collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other care team members to ensure efficient clinic operations.
  • Reinforcing patient education and helping individuals understand their care plans.
  • Contributing to a welcoming and supportive environment for patients and families.
