About The Position

This role is for a Certified Medical Assistant at Ascension Medical Group Clinic, specifically within the Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Infectious Disease department. The schedule is Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm. The Certified Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring sterile and organized treatment rooms. They will also streamline clinic workflow by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and accurately recording medical histories. Additionally, the role involves transcribing provider orders for labs, imaging, and prescriptions, and managing administrative duties such as medical record maintenance, clerical support, and inventory management.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
