About The Position

The Certified Medical Assistant supports cardio consult clinic operations by delivering personalized patient care, preparing patients for examinations, obtaining accurate vital signs, and assisting providers during clinical treatments. The role documents symptoms, diagnoses, prescriptions, and order transcriptions in real time to maintain complete, high-quality medical records. It also maintains clean, well-stocked exam rooms and handles administrative tasks and incoming communications to help keep patient information organized and the care experience smooth.

Requirements

• BLS Provider credential obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross credentials are accepted.
• Medical Assistant credential obtained within 180 days of hire or job transfer.
• High school diploma equivalency or one year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience. Required professional licensure or certification may be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Prior CMA experience preferred.
• MA certification and/or registration in good standing through AAMA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA.
• Must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant, or currently enrolled in school to obtain CMA/RMA credentials.
