About The Position

Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants is seeking a Medical Assistant for its Largo location. The role supports cardiovascular care by bringing patients to exam rooms and preparing them for provider visits. Duties include performing EKGs and blood pressure checks, reconciling medications, stocking rooms, scanning records, and preparing and screening telehealth visits. The ideal candidate is skilled, motivated, positive, and committed to teamwork and patient care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented approach and a positive outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Record patient vital signs, height, weight, and BMI during visits.
• Assist with medical assessments and monitor patients.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health system.
• Manage medication inventory and order supplies.
• Ensure compliance with clinic policies and safety regulations.
• Address patient concerns and relay messages to healthcare providers.
• Provide clear instructions on prescribed medications, treatments, and dietary plans.
• Bring patients to exam rooms and prepare them for provider visits.
• Perform EKGs and blood pressure checks and reconcile medications.
• Stock rooms, scan records, and prepare and screen telehealth visits.
