About The Position

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant. This is a surgical-based clinic that specializes in breast and soft tissue melanomas. The clinic is patient satisfaction oriented. The role involves delivering care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process, conducting patient check out, surgery scheduling, and post-operative calls as a primary function. Communication with patients regarding test results and plan of care, ensuring patient safety and privacy, and potentially working in the front office are also key aspects of the role. Additional duties may be assigned by practice management or healthcare providers.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant (PREFERRED)
Back Office clinical experience (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
Blood Drawing experience (HIGHLY PREFERRED)
ACLS or BCLS upon hire (PREFERRED)

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
May work in the front office as needed
May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
