About The Position

Fast-paced, high-volume clinic looking for a top skilled Certified Medical Assistant. This role is within the Texas Health Physicians Group, which includes more than 1,000 physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants dedicated to providing quality, patient-safe care at more than 240 offices located throughout the DFW Metroplex. The department offers growth and development opportunities in a collaborative work environment focused on patient satisfaction.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
• CMA - Current Medical Assistant Certification (REQUIRED)
• Successful completion of THPG Clinical Training (CT) educational program with demonstrated competency in required skills - within 90 days of job entry (REQUIRED)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Exceptional Quarterly - 90 days upon hire (REQUIRED)

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience as a Medical Assistant (PREFERRED)
• Willing to consider a New CMA that has completed an Externship

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Certified Medical Assistant Process
• Conducts patient check out, surgery scheduling and post operative calls as primary function of position
• Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician
• Provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights
• May work in the front office as needed
• May perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s)
