About The Position

Ascension Medical Group Clinic in Carmel, IN is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for their Heart Care department. This role operates on a Monday - Friday schedule from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The Medical Assistant will support providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring sterile and organized treatment rooms. Key responsibilities include streamlining clinic workflow by interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, recording medical histories, and transcribing provider orders for labs, imaging, and prescriptions. The position also involves managing administrative duties such as medical record maintenance, clerical support, and inventory management to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. Certified or Registered both accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

2 years back office experience preferred
