About The Position
This role involves collecting vital signs and patient history, performing basic laboratory tests, administering injections and medications as directed by a provider, and other clinical tasks. Administrative duties include ordering supplies, updating and maintaining medical records, obtaining referrals and authorizations, and scheduling appointments.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Medical Assistant Certification (i.e., AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, NHA CCMA, NCCT NCMA, or NAHP NRCMA)
- CPR Certification
- Computer experience
- Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant diploma or degree program
- Minimum of one year medical assisting experience
- Proficient in venipuncture
