Requirements
- Current Medical Assistant Certification
- Current BLS/CPR certification (must provide official certification card)
- Valid Alabama Driver’s License & Insurable Driving Record
- All experience levels are welcome to apply, including new graduates
Nice To Haves
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program with a current NHA Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA required)
- 2 years working as a Certified Medical Assistant and 1 year of clinical lab experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (must provide official certification card)
- Valid Alabama Driver’s License & Insurable Driving Record
Responsibilities
- Welcome and prepare patients for exams, collect medical histories, and record vital signs
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with examinations and procedures
- Perform phlebotomy, collect and label lab specimens, and conduct routine lab tests
- Administer specified medications and injections as directed
- Provide wound care and patient education on medications and preventive care
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
- Perform basic diagnostic X-rays and support administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing, and patient follow-up
