About The Position

Ascension Medical Clinic in Niceville, FL is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for their Primary Care team. This full-time, day shift position operates Monday through Friday from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. The role involves assisting providers with patient examinations and treatments, including taking vital signs, recording patient information, and performing basic clerical duties such as answering phones and maintaining records. The Medical Assistant will also be responsible for transcribing patient orders for laboratory tests, radiology, and medications.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of experience in a Medical Clinic or Medical Group setting.
Demonstrated experience with patient rooming procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider (Physician or Advanced Practice Provider).
Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
Transcribe patient orders including, but not limited to, laboratory tests, radiology tests and medications.
