About The Position

Sentara Gastroenterology Specialists Port Warwick are hiring a Certified Medical Assistant! ALL QUALIFIED CANDIDATES CAN RECEIVE up to a $5,000 SIGN-ON BONUS! This is a Full-time, Days position located in Newport News, VA. The role involves performing patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Active CMA, CCMA, RMA, or NREMT-Basic (Required)
BLS is required within 90 days of hire.
1 year of clinical or administrative experience

Nice To Haves

Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (Preferred)
Phlebotomy experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities
