Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience in a medical setting.
Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Hold all applicable and current professional licenses, certifications, and credentials in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Pass mandatory background, credit check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to include, taking and recording patient history, vital signs, making appointments, assisting physician assistants (PA's) and physicians in clinical activities.
Draw blood from patients for analysis or other medical purposes.
Collect and process Urinalysis.
Operate the EKG machine, and other special medical apparatus and equipment within the HSU.
Assist PAs and visiting clinical specialty consultants in the management and coordination of patient flow through the chronic care clinic, optometry and general clinics when scheduled.
Assist primary providers in the urgent care room when necessary.
General nursing duties.
Receive the adults in custody (AIC) passes, pull, file and copy medical records and maintain supplies in all exam rooms.
Screening eye exams and assisting physicians and mid-level practitioners in minor surgical cases.
Maintain daily sick call list.
Administer treatments/procedures such as nebulizer, ear lavage, and other routine procedures and prepare and administer medications with physician authorization.
Perform daily pill pass to the AIC as needed and designated by the clinical director.
Perform any other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the HSA, ASHA, or the clinical director.
