Remote Certified Medical Assistant – Medicare Wellness Screenings
About The Position
Welltality is hiring Certified Medical Assistants to conduct Medicare Annual Wellness Visit screenings by phone. This role offers the opportunity to use your healthcare experience from home, moving away from the commute and physical demands of a traditional clinic environment. It is a phone-based position where you will spend much of your day speaking with patients while documenting their responses in the EMR simultaneously. The work is structured and performance-based, making it a good fit for individuals who enjoy patient interaction, work efficiently, and prioritize accurate documentation.
Requirements
- Current Medical Assistant certification
- Experience communicating directly with patients or customers
- Strong typing and computer skills
- Ability to listen, talk, and document simultaneously
- Familiarity with common medications, medical conditions, and healthcare terminology
- Comfortable learning and working in EMRs and Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently in a remote environment while staying connected with your team
Nice To Haves
- Spanish/English bilingual skills are strongly preferred, but not required
Responsibilities
- Conduct Medicare Annual Wellness Visit screening questionnaires with patients by phone
- Make outbound calls to scheduled and eligible patients
- Document patient responses accurately in the EMR during the call
- Assist eligible patients with scheduling their wellness screening
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients and clinic staff
- Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant documentation
