About The Position

Responsible for rendering clinical care within the medical practice in support of and as directed by the physician. The role also has general responsibilities assisting with the day-to-day operation of the office to ensure quality patient care. Clinical care includes patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certified Medical Assistant certification. Accepted certifications include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or CMAC (AMCA).
• Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees, and physicians.
• Cognitive ability to understand patients' medical records and physician's and medical orders, and communicate medical orders to patients, hospitals, and other physicians.
• Ability to work according to accepted clinical standards.
• BLS within 90 days.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience performing X-rays and EKGs.
• Six months of experience.
