Urology Clinics of North Texas is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical support to physicians and APPs in delivering patient care and administrative support. This role involves travel between multiple clinics in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Grapevine, Fort Worth, and Denton, with potential additions in Flower Mound and Carrollton. The clinic opens with tasks such as unlocking doors, turning on lights, starting computers, chart preparation, and testing urine controls. The position requires maintaining an efficient patient flow, answering calls, processing prescriptions, documenting patient interactions in the EHR, preparing and assisting providers with exams and procedures, cleaning and stocking exam rooms, preparing specimens, administering injections, drawing blood, performing catheterization, and managing CLIA and OSHA requirements. Additionally, the role involves maintaining medical supply stock, processing prior authorizations and Title 19s, completing Letters of Medical Necessity, managing chart take-down, scanning documents, ensuring chart notes are complete, stocking files, performing autoclave spore testing, maintaining the cystoscope station, cleaning supply cabinets, notifying the call center of schedule changes, and completing patient phone calls daily. The Medical Assistant will also schedule outpatient or inpatient surgeries or services and perform other assigned tasks.
