About The Position
Primary Care and Cardiology office in Kearny Mesa (15 and Aero Drive/ Murphy Canyon) area currently seeking full-time Certified Medical Assistant that enjoys a fast-paced, patient-centered atmosphere. A background check will be required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Certificate in Medical Assisting from an accredited school
- Medical Assistant National Certification (NHA, AAMA, NCCT, etc)
- Minimum 1 year back office experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer experience including email, Word documents, electronic medical records required
- Must be able to work within a team with focus on patient satisfaction
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual preferred
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients
- Taking patient history
- Taking vitals
- Assisting providers during exams/procedures
- Phlebotomy
- Administering injections
- Handling patient phone calls
- Processing insurance authorizations
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment
- Completing paperwork for patients/physicians
- Front desk coverage
