About The Position

NiteLines USA, established in 1994, is a dynamic and growing health care organization that has successfully delivered contract support services to more than 144 government institutions and medical treatment facilities across the country. We are seeking professionals and dedicated individuals to be part of our team, where integrity, respect, accountability, and collaboration are among our core principles. We are currently looking for Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) to provide services for the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex, Forrest City, Arkansas.

Requirements

• US citizenship is required.
• Must be certified/registered in their field of study and shall provide documentation of completion of a Medical Assistant course of study.
• Must have experience in the field of medicine dealing with ill patients, either in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Shall be certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Respond to requests from various employees and the ability to recognize any given medical terminology from any practitioner.
• Process accurate, error-free written correspondence at the request of various practitioners, using both typewriters and word-processing equipment without supervision.
• Obtain laboratory samples and do routine phlebotomy.
• Perform other tests as required by the medical needs of the inmate.
• Conduct audiometric and/or visual testing.
• Perform EKGs.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Perform other functions of a clinical nature like subcutaneous, intradermal and intramuscular injections, PPD planting and reading to ensure that the medical needs of the inmates are being met.
• Obtain medical histories and assist in emergency medical treatment of inmate patients.
• File medical records and obtain records for the physician assistants, physician, and Health Services Administrator.
• Record symptoms and vital signs, dressing changes.
