Primary Care Focus: In this essential supportive role, you will be integral to our primary care team. You'll facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our diverse patient population. Your work will directly contribute to promoting the optimal health, well-being, and safety of patients in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the delegation of medical services as defined by the State Medical Practice Act. What You'll Do as a Primary Care CMA: Direct Patient Care Support: Perform a variety of clinical tasks as directed by an authorized primary care provider, adhering to our Physician Group Scope of Practice. This may include: Taking vital signs and medical histories Assisting with examinations and minor procedures Administering medications Performing EKGs Wound care Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens Patient Education & Communication: Act as a key point of contact for patients, providing clear instructions, answering questions, and ensuring a positive patient experience within a primary care setting. Front Office & Scheduling (where applicable): Assist with front office duties and manage the scheduling of tests and patient appointments, ensuring seamless patient flow within our primary care clinics. Accurate Documentation: Maintain meticulous chart documentation and medical records, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a primary care environment. Professional Development: Actively participate in / conduct in-service presentations and seminars to enhance personal and professional growth. Relationship-Based Care: Demonstrate personal accountability for delivering relationship-based care, aligning with our organizational mission and core values. In Colorado Only: Pay Ranges Begin at $20.00 for Non-Certified Medical Assistants and $21.25 for Certified Medical Assistants.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D., required
  • Medical Assistant certification or registration from approved organization, required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through the American Heart Association, required
  • Certified as a Medical Assistant through one of the following recognized certifying bodies: American Association of Medical Assistant (AAMA), American Medical Technologist (AMT), National Healthcare Association (NHA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
