This role assists in providing clinical care to office patients as delegated by the supervising provider. The Certified Medical Assistant manages the provider’s daily schedule and patient flow to expedite care and maximize clinical time. Key responsibilities include greeting and escorting patients, obtaining vital signs, documenting clinical information in the EHR, assisting with procedures, preparing and maintaining exam rooms, managing supplies, administering injections under supervision, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. The role also involves staying current with community resources and maintaining patient confidentiality. Clerical support such as scheduling, patient registration, scanning records, answering phones, and faxing may also be required. The ability to float to other MACC practices and perform other assigned duties is necessary. A strong ability to read, write, and communicate in English is essential.
