This role is responsible for coordinating and performing general office functions and receptionist duties, including greeting patients, typing correspondence, filing, answering phones, and transmitting messages. The position also involves completing patient registration, precertification, ordering supplies, processing payments, and performing office charge entry. Additionally, the Certified Medical Assistant will assist in direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician/provider, including assisting with procedures, preparing exam rooms and equipment, taking medical history and vital signs, administering medications, and conducting patient follow-up calls. All activities must comply with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and JMH policies and procedures, including Blood and Body Substance Precautions. The role also supports organizational and department goals, participates in Performance Improvement initiatives, and maintains confidentiality of patient, employee, and business information. Ongoing training and attendance at required educational programs are necessary. This is an 80-hour per two-week pay period position, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch.
