In summary, the Medical Assistant's primary responsibilities include providing direct patient care, handling patient registration, scheduling appointments, and performing various office-related tasks. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS CPR by the American Heart Association
- Successful completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program, OR one year of Medical Assistant work experience can be substituted for the successful completion of an accredited medical assistant program
- Must obtain at least one (1) of the following Medical Assistant credentials within 6 months of hire date: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
Nice To Haves
- Current possession of Medical Assistant certification, highly preferred
