About The Position

This role involves assisting physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties within an OBGYN department. The Certified Medical Assistant will interview patients to record medical history and vital signs, prepare and sanitize treatment rooms, and manage essential clerical tasks including phone correspondence and record maintenance.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Registered Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Registry of Medical Assistants also accepted.
• Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Prior OBGYN/Women's Health experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.

• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
• Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.
