About The Position

This role is for a Certified Medical Assistant in a Neurosurgical Lung Support Clinic. The primary focus is on leading the clinical flow, preparing exam rooms, and managing patient transitions to ensure a smooth experience. Key responsibilities include capturing patient information by taking vital signs and interviewing patients, accurately documenting diagnoses, orders, and follow-up instructions in the patient record, and managing supplies to ensure the team is always equipped for patient care.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Association for Health Professionals obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Responsibilities

Lead the clinical flow by preparing exam rooms and prioritizing patient transitions to ensure a seamless, stress-free experience for both the provider and the patient.
Capture the patient’s story by accurately measuring vital signs and interviewing patients to ensure the care team has a clear, real-time clinical picture before every consultation.
Master clinical documentation by transcribing diagnoses, orders, and follow-up instructions into the patient record, ensuring the accuracy of the care journey from start to finish.
Optimize the care environment by managing essential supplies and materials, ensuring the team is always equipped to provide uninterrupted patient care.
