About The Position

Clinical Associates is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant Float to join their Department of Specialty Medicine. This role involves traveling to all of their locations: Reisterstown, Woodholme (Pikesville), and Towson. The position requires the ability to work both front and back office duties in a multi-specialty setting. The Medical Assistant will work closely with healthcare providers, ensuring a positive and supportive patient experience. Responsibilities include triaging calls, rooming patients, assisting during office visits, and providing follow-up care. The role offers enrichment and opportunities for growth within a healthcare setting that emphasizes integrated medical care and comprehensive patient services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Current registration/certification with an accredited Medical Assistant program.
  • EMR Experience (Nextgen is a plus)!
  • Excellent patient care and customer service skills.
  • Registered Nationally as a Medical Assistant and experienced in Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Podiatry, (Internal Medicine or Primary Care experience will be considered).
  • If not currently registered or certified but have completed an accredited Medical Assistant training program, still apply. Will work with eligible candidates to get registered within 90 days of hire.
  • Candidates selected for an interview will be required to take a medical skill assessment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology and/or Podiatry is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assistance during routine exams
  • Recording a patient history and logging vital signs.
  • Obtaining and tracking authorizations and test results
  • Entering lab / diagnostic test orders
  • Assisting patients with CGM devices
  • Scheduling appointments, procedures, or imaging
  • Front desk check in or call center coverage as needed
  • Triage calls
  • Rooming patients
  • Assisting during an office visit
  • Providing follow-up to patients and/or families
