About The Position

Matrix Providers is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team of talented professionals who provide healthcare services to our Military Service Members and their families in Bremerton, WA. This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly, with a compensation of $21.75- 23.75hr + H&W $5.09/hr. The schedule is Monday - Friday from 0730-1630. Requirements

  • Current certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or Current registration by the American Medical Technologists or other formal programs.
  • Possess a minimum of six months of experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation.
  • Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC); Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS); Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET); and Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior College (ACCJC) or be a graduate from a medical assistant program approved for certification by the California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination rooms before the patient's arrival.
  • Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
  • Check the patient's vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.
  • Obtain and document the patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct form.
  • Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered.
  • Maintained examination room stock levels and performed routine maintenance of examination rooms.
  • Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.
  • Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when the patient is released.
