It involves obtaining prior authorizations for procedures, providing patient education on pre and post-operative care, and assigning appropriate CPT codes. The role also requires communication with various hospital departments, obtaining medical and cardiology clearances, and instructing patients on medication management before surgery. Additionally, the position involves maintaining patient reminder lists, assisting physicians with in-office procedures, instrument sterilization, and requesting medical records. Completing FMLA/Leave of Absence paperwork and adhering to all applicable laws and hospital policies are also key responsibilities. The role supports the Mission and Values of JMH and performs other duties as assigned.
