About The Position

Jackson Purchase Medical Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for their Podiatry department. This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday schedule. The role involves performing routine clinical and administrative duties to support the podiatry team. The Jackson Purchase Podiatry team is dedicated to providing exceptional foot and ankle care to patients of all ages in the community, working collaboratively to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of podiatric conditions. As part of the Jackson Purchase Medical Center network, the focus is on compassionate, patient-centered care in a welcoming outpatient setting, aiming to improve the health and well-being of the communities served.

Requirements

• CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
• Take vital signs, document patient history, and update electronic health records (EHR).
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, and administering medications or injections.
• Perform basic lab tasks, prepare specimens, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms.
• Support front office and patient care coordination, including scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education.
