About The Position
Trios Health, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for their OB Clinic. This PRN position involves assisting physicians and nurses with patient assessments and treatments, performing basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care. The role also includes maintaining equipment and medical supplies, managing examination areas, and performing administrative duties such as filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration. The ideal candidate will possess critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and the capacity to handle stressful environments effectively.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Washington CMA License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of physicians or nurses, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
- Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
- Monitors and communication changes in patient condition.
- Documents patient care given.
- Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including reordering, stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
- Maintains examination areas.
- Perform administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
