About The Position

This position is for a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics at Centerpoint Health – Georgetown. Centerpoint Health is a regional healthcare provider serving communities across Central Kentucky, formed in 2026 by the joining of four community hospitals. Centerpoint Health – Georgetown, formerly Georgetown Community Hospital, is a 75-bed acute care hospital that offers a broad range of inpatient, outpatient, intensive care, surgical, emergency, and diagnostic services. The CMA will perform routine clinical and administrative duties, including taking vital signs, documenting patient history, updating electronic health records (EHR), assisting providers with exams, procedures, and administering medications or injections, performing basic lab tasks, preparing specimens, maintaining clean and stocked exam rooms, and supporting front office and patient care coordination, which includes scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification required
  • Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.

  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, and administering medications or injections
  • Perform basic lab tasks, prepare specimens, and maintain clean, stocked exam rooms
