About The Position

Axia Women's Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) II for the South Jersey Fertility Center in Marlton, NJ. This role involves assisting with patient care, recording patient information, preparing exam rooms, maintaining patient records, performing venipuncture, assisting with procedures, and relaying information to patients. The CMA will adhere to OSHA guidelines, infection control protocols, and HIPAA regulations. The position requires a positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Flexibility in scheduling and willingness to work at satellite locations may be required.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma or GED, some college preferred.
  • Successful completion as a Medical Assistant, such as CMA, CCMA, RMA or NCMAA required.
  • CPR/BLS Certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent medical assistant experience in a medical facility/office or combination of experience and documented evidence of medical assistant internship.
  • Phlebotomy skills.
  • Ability to independently obtain patient vital signs.
  • Positive and professional attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail & communication skills.
  • Successful ability to work with teams across the business to maximize the impact of the overall business effort.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and at satellite location(s) where applicable, as needed.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

  • OB/GYN or Women's Health experience preferred.
  • EMR experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Adhering to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and standardized quality control methods and, per infection control protocols, preparing exam/procedure rooms between patient visits, cleaning rooms, setting up instruments and equipment, and maintaining and cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program.
  • Accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, assisting as needed with walking transfers or dressing.
  • Maintaining patient records by accurately recording patient medical history, obtaining, and recording patient vital signs, symptoms, complaints, and medications, etc., and obtaining and scanning any lab or imaging reports, as well as any hospital notes into the EMR in order that the provider may have complete patient information.
  • Performing venipuncture and collecting specimens as needed.
  • Assisting provider with various procedures and screenings.
  • Relaying instructions and pertinent information to patients.
  • Completing form/requestions as needed to ensure patient records are accurate and that claims can be properly billed.
  • Adhering to Patient Confidentiality Policies and HIPAA regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
