About The Position
Baptist Heart Specialists is currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Baptist South Cardiology Dept. located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time opportunity working Monday-Friday from 8:00A-4:30P. The ideal candidate will perform back office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, obtaining vitals, administering EKGs, and assisting the provider. This candidate must be open to traveling to other locations. Mileage reimbursement is available.
Requirements
- 2+ years Patient Care Experience
- Experience in Physician's office
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assistance to physicians
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
