About The Position

This role is for a Certified Medical Assistant specializing in Cardiology at Ascension's Seton Williamson Medical Plaza I in Round Rock, TX. The position operates on a Day Shift schedule, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for leading the clinical flow, preparing exam rooms, and prioritizing patient transitions to ensure a seamless experience. They will capture patient information by accurately measuring vital signs and interviewing patients to provide the care team with a clear clinical picture. Additionally, the role involves mastering clinical documentation by transcribing diagnoses, orders, and follow-up instructions into the patient record, and optimizing the care environment by managing supplies and materials to ensure uninterrupted patient care.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Cross accepted.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Association for Health Professionals obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
  • Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Medical Certification (AMCA) also accepted.
  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

  • Travel Required: Georgetown, Pflugerville and Liberty Hill - as needed
