About The Position

Monarch/Brandywine Senior Living is hiring a Certified Med Tech to administer or assist with the self-administration of prescribed medication and provide resident care in accordance with care plans. The role maintains medication and other medical records under RN supervision, supports residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity, and follows applicable regulations and community policies. The posting offers part-time and full-time schedules, including 7 a.m.–3 p.m. and 3 p.m.–11 p.m. shifts. Compensation is $25.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Current New Jersey Medication Aid Certification.
• New Jersey CNA or HHA Certification.
• At least six months of experience working with seniors in assisted living, home health, a hospital, or a long-term care environment.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Ability to perform duties involving standing, walking, sitting, fine and gross motor skills, reaching, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, hearing, and smelling.
• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds; intermittent lifting and supporting of residents is required, using proper body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Administer and/or assist with self-administration of prescribed medication and maintain related medical records under the supervision of the RN.
• Complete required annual medication training according to state requirements.
• Provide resident care to ensure care needs are met according to each resident’s care plan.
• Maintain medical records and written documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with federal and state regulations, certification standards, and legal and ethical standards.
• Maintain residents’ comfort, privacy, and dignity when delivering services.
• Participate in and attend scheduled in-service training.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
