Wil Lou Gray Opportunity School is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Certified Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Mathematics or eligibility for appropriate certification.
Strong knowledge of mathematics concepts, curriculum, and instructional practices.
Effective classroom-management and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with students from diverse academic and personal backgrounds.
Commitment to student achievement and personal development.

Nice To Haves

Previous secondary mathematics teaching experience.
Experience working with students who benefit from additional academic or behavioral support.
Knowledge of differentiated instruction, intervention strategies, and data-driven instruction.
Experience integrating educational technology into classroom instruction.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with South Carolina academic standards.
Provide differentiated instruction to meet students' varied academic needs and learning styles.
Assess student progress and use assessment data to guide instruction.
Maintain accurate student records, grades, and documentation.
Establish and maintain clear classroom expectations and routines.
Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, counselors, and other student-support personnel.
Provide additional academic support and intervention when needed.
Incorporate technology and appropriate instructional resources into mathematics instruction.
Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff.
Support the school's mission, policies, procedures, and student-development goals.
Serve as a positive role model and contribute to a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
