About The Position

We are seeking a certified Massage Therapist to join a clinical spa. The therapist will tailor treatments to clients’ individual needs and health goals and provide a variety of massage styles, including deep tissue work. The role calls for knowledge of human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work as part of a holistic wellness team. Deep tissue or injury-based experience is preferred. Full-time or part-time work is welcome, with hours somewhat flexible within reason. Hands-on training to sharpen skills and guidance on hand- and body-saving techniques are available. The spa values kind, knowledgeable therapists who can provide focused, specific work, help clients work toward their goals, and build lasting professional relationships.

Requirements

Hold a current license and liability insurance to practice massage therapy.
Be capable of performing deep tissue massage modalities.
Be punctual.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Be strongly service oriented and able to communicate effectively with clients one-on-one.
Demonstrate a high level of ethics and integrity.
Have a passion for helping people feel their best.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of massage and body treatments.
Educate clients about services and products offered and the therapeutic benefits of regular massage therapy.
Maintain accurate records of each session.
Schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments.
Build relationships with clients and assist them in meeting their wellness goals.
Ensure the facility is clean and safe.
Comply with applicable standards, rules, and regulations.
