About The Position
Boater’s World Marine Centers in Grand Prairie, TX is hiring an experienced Certified Marine Technician. This role is in a prime DFW location, situated between Dallas and Fort Worth, offering access to lakes, a booming economy, and a lower cost of living. Boater’s World Marine Centers is part of Outdoor Network, a national leader in the marine and powersports industry. The company has unmatched access to OEM parts, outboards, and tools. The Certified Marine Technician will join the Grand Prairie team and is expected to take pride in their craft, desire factory training with Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Honda, and be motivated for growth.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of marine tech experience (dealership preferred)
- A minimum of one OEM Outboard certification (Mercury, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, MerCruiser)
- MMI graduate a plus
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Confident working with mechanical, electrical, and rigging systems
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and ready to hustle
- Must be able to work Saturdays (closed Sunday, 1 weekday off)
- Team player with a positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on marine outboards and inboards
- Rig new and pre-owned units for customer delivery
- Install OEM and aftermarket parts and accessories
- Perform safety inspections and recommend services
- Conduct water/lake testing when necessary
- Minimize comebacks by delivering clean, accurate work the first time
- Identify upsell opportunities and generate additional revenue through quality service
