About The Position

Prairie Band Health Services is seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide services in the Mammography Suites at Heart Butte Health Station in Heart Butte, MT. The facility boasts a state-of-the-art mammography suite built in 2019. The role involves bringing Mammography services in-house, requiring certification of the suite and the hiring of Certified Technologists. This is a short assignment with a quick turnaround, offering competitive rates. The work schedule is 36-40 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Possess a degree or diploma from a professional program approved by the legally designated state accrediting agency at the time of program completion.
  • Possess a current, valid, unrestricted license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States, from an FDA-approved body throughout the term of the contract.
  • Certification and registration in mammography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), which requires prior certification in general radiography and meeting specific educational and clinical experience requirements in mammography.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • At least 12 months of experience as a Mammography Technologist.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Mammography services and operate specialized X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images of breast tissue.
  • Perform mammograms, including preparing patients for the procedure, positioning them correctly, and ensuring optimal image quality.
  • Adhere to radiation safety guidelines.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the mammography equipment.
  • May assist with patient tracking and record keeping.
  • Perform any other job-related responsibilities as requested by their supervisor.
