About The Position

This role involves performing essential maintenance on vehicles, focusing on lubrication and fluid services. The Certified Lube Technician will be responsible for draining and replacing vehicle oil according to manufacturer specifications, topping off various vehicle fluids, and conducting inspections for leaks and potential issues. Additionally, the technician will manage tire pressure, install common car parts, and lubricate critical moving components to ensure optimal vehicle performance and longevity.

Requirements

  • Certification as a Lube Technician
  • Knowledge of manufacturer specifications for oil changes and fluid services
  • Ability to inspect engine blocks and underbodies for leaks
  • Proficiency in checking and adjusting tire pressure
  • Experience installing car parts (air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers, batteries)
  • Understanding of lubrication for engine and wheel bearings

Responsibilities

  • Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications
  • Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid
  • Inspecting the engine block and under body for leaks and potential issues
  • Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications
  • Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries
  • Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings and ensuring the engine is kept
