This position is an in-person opportunity based in St Kitts at the Ross University Veterinary Clinic (RUVC), part of the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM). The Lead Certified Veterinary Technician will join a large team and will manage Certified/Licensed/Registered veterinary technicians/nurses, veterinary assistants, and support staff. The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the RUVC, maintaining high standards of patient care, customer service, and student experience. Responsibilities include clinical duties, teaching responsibilities, animal care, on-call duties, and administration. The position involves managing the team, ensuring AAHA accreditation standards, addressing training needs, identifying continuing education and career development opportunities, and managing performance reviews, scheduling, and time off. General maintenance and repair of the work area, and compliance with Health and Safety regulations are also expected. Managerial duties will be undertaken alongside clinical, teaching, animal care, and on-call duties.
